Traditional Gyotaku

Gyotaku Designs Christian Montano

The origins of Gyotaku lie in the tradition of capturing the essence of fishermen's prized catches, allowing them to preserve the memories of their adventures while minimizing waste.

Before your fishing day, I will coordinate with you to provide a cooler bag filled with ice, ensuring your catch remains fresh and well-preserved throughout the day. Once you've returned to shore, my studio is conveniently located near the drop-off point. I’ll meet you on the beach to assist in bringing your catch to the studio, where the fish will be carefully prepared and printed immediately, ensuring the highest quality and freshness of the artwork.

After the printing process, the catch is expertly filleted and bagged, ready for you to enjoy a delicious dinner that perfectly complements your memorable experience.
